Belgard Hardscapes Partners with the USO to Welcome Troops Home
Donations will support the programs that provide troops with tools, resources and confidence to transition into the next phase of their careers
ATLANTA, May 7, 2015 – Belgard® Hardscapes, a leading provider of interlocking pavers, paving stone and wall products, has partnered with the USO, a nonprofit organization dedicated to lifting the spirits of American troops and their families, for Welcome Home, a giving initiative that will run through Veterans Day on November 11. Belgard knows what it means to make a house a home, and through this new partnership, they hope to extend a warm message of gratitude and appreciation to servicemen and women across the country.
“To those who put their lives on the line to defend our country, and the family members who sacrifice so much in their absence, we want to express our sincerest thank you,” said Jackie Paulsen, marketing director of Belgard Hardscapes. “We are thrilled to partner with the USO this year and hope that together we can give our returning military a Welcome Home that is deserving of their great contributions to this nation.”
From now until Veterans Day, Belgard will donate $100 to the USO for every paver project installed, ultimately aiming to provide up to $150,000 in both financial donations and in-kind services to the USO. The funds raised by Belgard will support USO programs that provide services ranging from creating a strong resume and networking with employers to creating a more functional home environment.
“Transitioning out of the military can be difficult,” said Christy Hartsell, USO vice president of corporate alliances. “That’s why the USO is focused on providing programs and services that provide troops with the tools and resources they need to transition with confidence. We are so grateful that our partnership with Belgard gives everyday Americans a way to support troops and their families transitioning back to civilian life.”
